Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes what Camas County Busted Mugshots may receive when someone uses the pages, search tools, or contact routes, how that information is used, and when it may be shared. It also explains the limits that apply after a visitor follows an outside link. Use of the site means the practices below may apply.

Information You Send

Search terms

A name, place, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Camas County Busted Mugshots does not store or keep a log of those terms on its own server. The provider’s privacy notice and terms control its handling after the request leaves this site.

Messages and requests

If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the message and reply details are kept long enough to respond, maintain a useful record of the exchange, and address a follow-up. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless the sender asks for it, a service provider is needed to deliver the message, or disclosure is required by law.

Technical Details Collected

Like many public web pages, the site may receive basic technical information when a page loads. This data helps diagnose faults, measure use, and protect the service. It may include:

  • IP address or an abbreviated network identifier
  • browser name and version
  • device type and operating system
  • pages viewed and time spent on each
  • the referring page, when supplied
  • date and time stamps

Cookies and similar tools

Cookies may help understand how visitors use the pages or allow an outside partner to operate a feature. Browser controls can block or delete cookies. Some search or page functions may act differently when they are blocked.

How Information Is Used

  • Keep the pages available, readable, and reasonably fast.
  • Send a search request to the appropriate outside provider.
  • Learn which parts of the Camas County reference material are useful.
  • Find errors, abuse, and technical failures.
  • Show advertising that may be relevant to a visitor’s interests.

Nothing in this notice changes the public-record process described in Idaho Code sections 74-102 and 74-103. Questions about a Camas booking record go to the originating custodian, not to this site’s analytics or search tools.

Links Beyond These Pages

The pages link to the Camas Sheriff, possible detention facilities, Idaho courts, the Department of Correction, federal locators, archives, newspapers, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, that destination’s privacy policy, security practices, cookies, and data rules apply. Camas County Busted Mugshots does not control the content or uptime of an outside service.

Advertising partners may also use cookies or related tools on their own systems to measure activity across sites or tailor advertisements. Those practices are controlled by the partner’s notice, not by this page.

Who May Receive Data

Personal information is not sold by Camas County Busted Mugshots. Information may nevertheless reach the following categories when needed to operate the service or comply with a lawful demand:

  • search partners that process terms entered into their tools
  • analytics providers that measure page use
  • advertising networks and their service vendors
  • law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order

Security Is Best Effort

Reasonable technical and administrative steps are used to protect information. No internet-connected service is fully secure, however. The site cannot promise that a transmission, stored message, or outside partner system will never be accessed, interrupted, or compromised.

Visitors Under 18

The service is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, a parent or guardian may use the Contacts route to request that the message be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Your Privacy Choices

  • Ask what personal information is held about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate contact information.
  • Ask that information be erased where retention is not required.
  • Opt out of certain uses, cookies, or partner processing when the available tool permits it.

Requests may require enough detail to locate the relevant message or account. A request about an official booking record, court file, or private publisher’s copy must go to that record holder. This site cannot change a government record or another publisher’s page.

Notice Changes

This Privacy Notice may be revised when the service, vendors, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date or a clear indication of the revision. Continued use after an update means the revised practices may apply.
